Membership of EPIC ensures that prospective customers and other stakeholders will see you as someone who belongs to an organisation that holds trust and integrity as core to its values. It is imperative that EPIC maintains its integrity and any adverse detail that is not declared below may be perceived by the Executive Committee as a lack of candour which could in turn have a bearing on the progression of your application for membership.

Declaration

I hereby apply for membership of EPIC and should my membership application be approved I agree to abide by the rules, procedures and Constitution of EPIC and to inform the Executive Committee in a timely manner of any matter or circumstance that may affect my continued membership of EPIC. I certify that all of the information provided above is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and belief and I authorise the EPIC Executive Committee, its officers and agents to conduct any necessary investigation into the above data as may be required to properly process my application for membership. I have been made aware that the membership application process may involve contacting present and previous employers, credit and other reference agencies and I hereby authorise the release of any necessary data that may be required to facilitate the membership application process. Data Protection Statement

Ex-Police in Industry and Commerce, (EPIC), is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office for the gathering and retention of Personal Data. EPIC will take all necessary steps to preserve and secure obtained or retained Personal Data. EPIC will only retain obtained or retained Personal Data so long as is necessary to carry out the membership application process and the functions and services of the Association. All Personal Data held will be processed, used and retained in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and any other relevant legislation or Code of Practice issued by the Information Commissioner’s Office. EPIC will not disclose any Personal Data to any unauthorised person or body but where appropriate will use such information in carrying out its various functions and services. Any person who believes that EPIC may hold Personal Data about them may, in certain circumstances, ask to see or be provided with a copy of that information on application to the Secretary as detailed above and on payment of the relevant fee.
